Humus, the primary organic substance of soil, peat, and coal, is made up primarily of organic chemicals known as humic substances (HS) (and also a constituent of many upland streams, dystrophic lakes, and ocean water). The acid-base theory, which labelled humic acids (HA) as organic acids and their conjugate bases, humates, as significant components of organic matter, served as the framework for much of the understanding of humic substances in the 19th and 20th centuries. In this perspective, humid acids (HA) are organic compounds recovered from soil that coagulate (break into small, solid pieces) when an acidic extract of a strong base is used, whereas fulvic acids (FA) are organic acids that remain soluble when a strong-base extract is acidified. The remainder of the humus that is known as a humin and is insoluble in alkalis.

The global Humic Acid Market is estimated to surpass US$ 1,240.4 million by the end of 2027 in terms of revenue, exhibiting a CAGR of 11.7% during the forecast period (2021 to 2027).

Molecules from dead plants and animals are released into the earth, where other living things may use them. Bacteria, fungi, protozoa, earthworms, and even insects eat the new material. Humus is the material that remains after long stretches of time, after the decomposing matter has been consumed and transformed through numerous cycles. (This method is referred to as "mummification"). In general, "humus" refers to highly complex, stable molecules that are resistant to further decomposition. Humid acids, folic acids, and human beings are also components of humus. Humic and fulvic acids have shown to be beneficial for a healthy soil environment, particularly for their contributions to soil structure and the transfer of nutrients between the soil and plants.

Humic acid-containing products are widely available. However, not all humics are created equal. Some things lack humid acid to the point where they are essentially useless. In order to ensure that you are receiving a high-quality product, find out where the material is coming from. All of our products come from the Menace Formation in northwest New Mexico, which is regarded as the best source of humid acid compounds in the entire world.
